New Orleans City Council committees advance Mayor Helena Moreno’s picks for new S&WB

The New Orleans City Council’s Governmental Affairs and Budget committees August 13 gave the green light to Mayor Helena Moreno’s picks for the new Sewerage & Water Board.

The committees advanced all of the mayor’s new appointees, including consultant Leslie Bouie, retired Gallo Mechanical executive David Gallo, urban planner Corrine Villavaso and KIPP New Orleans Schools CFO Kathryn Walmsley.

They also approved the reappointments of insurance agent Jonathan Stewart and attorney Kimberly Thomas as well as two Board of Liquidation, City Debt representatives, Chadrick Kennedy and Julius Kimbrough Jr. Kennedy already serves on the board…
