NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – A fire broke out in a house on Napoleon Avenue with at least one person inside.
A call reporting an apartment complex on fire came in at 6:17 p.m. Firefighters have been on scene since around 6:45 p.m. A second alarm was struck at 6:59 p.m.
A renter who lives on the third floor of the house, which contains three condos, one on each floor, said he ran outside when he saw smoke coming out of one of the windows. He then ran back in with just enough time to save one of his two cats. Another cat from a different condo was also rescued after being inside the burning building for more than an hour…
