New Orleans streets flood as 3 inches of rain an hour causes storm drains to bubble

On Sunday, heavy rain in Mid-City New Orleans pushed water into the streets and caused storm drains to bubble.

A clip from WDSU chief meteorologist Scot Pilié (@scotpilie_wx) included a warning to “Watch for flash flooding!”

Here’s what to know

The TikTok shows Pilié on Bank Street as rain fell at about 3 inches per hour and water pooled in the roadway.
