A violent day in New Orleans turns into a violent night, as the city’s police investigate three separate shootings, one of which left a man dead.
The first shooting happened around 5 p.m. Saturday on Lawrence Road near the Willows Apartments in New Orleans East. Police say they learned of the shooting after the victim drove himself to a hospital.
The second shooting happened around 1 a.m. on St. Claude Avenue near Gordon Street in the Lower Ninth Ward. Police say they found the victim dead at the scene when they arrived.
The third shooting took place around 5 a.m. on Morrison Road. The victim drove himself to the hospital. Police are still working to determine where exactly on Morrison Road the shooting happened.
