KENNER, La. (WVUE) – A porch package theft complaint in Kenner led investigators to what police describe as a large theft operation involving stolen mail, personal identification and packages across Jefferson Parish.
Kenner police said the investigation began Monday evening, March 30, when a resident in the Avant Garde community in the 600 block of West Esplanade reported that a man had stolen a package from her porch. The woman told officers she saw the theft while reviewing Ring camera footage from about 4 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25.
After reviewing the video, Kenner officers used the Flock camera system and identified a vehicle of interest, police said. Investigators learned the registered owner of the vehicle was already wanted by the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office on a simple burglary charge…
