MARRERO, La. (WGNO) — Deputies with the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office are investigating a deadly vehicle crash that occurred on April 10, Sheriff Joseph Lopinto announced Saturday.
According to the JPSO, after noon, deputies responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of 8th Street and Barataria Boulevard. They found a Jeep Grand Cherokee and a Chevrolet Malibu that were involved in the crash at the scene.
Deputies said an unresponsive elderly woman was found inside the Chevrolet Malibu. The woman sustained crash-related injuries and was later declared dead on the scene.

The JPSO also said the driver and another passenger inside the Malibu and the driver of the Grand Cherokee was taken to the hospital for treatment, where they were all listed to be in stable condition…
