NEW ORLEANS — The Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans says crews are responding to a “54-inch sewer force main break” dumping wastewater into the Industrial Canal near Florida Avenue.
Officials issued a statement on Saturday stating the main break began around 7 p.m. on Friday after a “a vessel struck and damaged a submerged sewer force main.”
They say divers are in the water assessing the size of the break, which will help crews determine what repairs are needed…
