JEFFERSON PARISH, La. — Louisiana State Police say a driver has been arrested in connection with a fatal hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian in Jefferson Parish.
Troopers say the crash happened April 22, just after 9 p.m., on Louisiana Highway 48 near Edwards Avenue in Elmwood.
Investigators say a 43-year-old New Orleans man was crossing westbound lanes of LA 48 while wearing dark clothing when he was struck by a 2020 Chevrolet Traverse traveling west. He was taken to the hospital, where he later died…
