For 19 years, Silence Is Violence, a local organization dedicated to helping victims and survivors of crime, has hosted a peaceful gathering during National Crime Week.
On Friday, the organization told WDSU the day is about healing, but also empowering victims’ families to seek resources and continue the fight toward justice.
