One of the ways Mr. Shrimp has built his name is by turning up at customers’ doors with orders of fresh seafood. During the dark days of the pandemic, his deliveries were a bright spot for many. The food was delicious; the bounce of his personality was uplifting.
Now the customers come to his door, and it’s a new one.
Mr. Shrimp is the business name and alter ego of Larry Thompson, who turned his delivery business into a restaurant a few years ago. In April, he relocated to a Marrero strip mall with an expanded menu of new dishes running alongside his repertoire of standards.
