N.J. teacher of over 30 years stripped of licenses after Hurricane Sandy fraud scheme

A veteran New Jersey teacher has lost all of her credentials after state officials found she and her husband fraudulently claimed thousands of dollars in Hurricane Sandy disaster relief money.

In a decision issued in March, the New Jersey State Board of Examiners upheld an administrative law judge’s findings and permanently revoked all teaching certificates held by Theresa Guerriere of Jersey City.
