CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn (PIX11) — A customer is accused of slashing two workers after her credit card was declined at a Brooklyn nail salon on Wednesday night, police said.
Laila Melendez, 23, allegedly attacked the employees during the payment dispute at the salon near Nostrand Avenue and Sterling Place in Crown Heights at around 8:40 p.m., according to the NYPD.

A 53-year-old woman was slashed in the face, chest, and left arm, and her colleague, a 50-year-old woman, was sliced in the right shoulder, police said. Both victims were taken to the hospital for treatment and are expected to recover.
