A multiagency Internet Crimes Against Children operation in New York has led to the arrest of five men accused of attempting to sexually exploit children online.
State Police say the proactive operation was conducted over several days in June with assistance from local, county, state, and federal partners. Investigators used undercover techniques to identify people who allegedly believed they were communicating with minors and sought to arrange in-person meetings for illegal sexual activity.
