MOTT HAVEN, The Bronx (PIX11) — A 1-year-old boy is recovering after falling from a fifth-floor window in the Bronx on Friday night, police and fire officials say.
The child fell five stories into the rear yard of 593 Oak Ter. just before 6:45 p.m., according to authorities. A person was taken into custody shortly after, but was released by Saturday morning.

The boy was taken to the hospital, where he was expected to survive.
