A person suffering from several stab wounds was rushed to the hospital from a Hawthorne home late Sunday afternoon, Aug. 23, according to incident photographer Boyd A. Loving.
The victim was alert and conscious when first responders arrived at a multi-family dwelling in the 200 block of Westervelt Avenue, Loving said. A Hawthorne EMS ambulance rushed the victim to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, Loving said. A paramedic team from The Valley Hospital assisted Hawthorne EMTs.
Several Hawthorne and Prospect Park police officers were seen entering the dwelling and handling crowd control on the street, Loving said. Police at the scene did not release information about the severity of the victim’s injuries or how they occurred, Loving said…
