Nearly a year after deadly Long Island stabbing, teen’s family still waiting for trial

Family and friends of 15-year-old Liam Delemo arrived at a Long Island courthouse wearing sweatshirts bearing his name and picture — nearly a year after his death.

Liam was stabbed to death outside a friend’s house during a party in West Babylon. His alleged killer, who was 17 at the time, has been in jail on a murder charge, but there has been no trial or plea deal.

Prosecutors say video from the party shows the defendant yelling for a girl to come outside and threatening partygoers. They say Liam told him to leave, the two got into a fight, and the defendant pulled out a dagger and stabbed Liam multiple times, lacerating multiple organs…
