STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Catholic Charities of Staten Island kicked off its annual Food Truck Festival on Friday at Mount Loretto in Pleasant Plains, launching a three-day event filled with street food, live entertainment and community fundraising on the South Shore.
The festival unfolded at Catholic Charities’ headquarters at 6581 Hylan Blvd., featuring more than a dozen food vendors, live music, a beer and sangria garden, rides for children and a tented seating area.
Joann Smiley of Toasted S’mores said, “It’s been windy, but with the heat, I’m not going to complain.”
