Tanker truck spills cooking oil on N.J. highway, triggering closure, emergency repairs

One lane on Route 22 west and the ramp to Bloy Street in Hillside are closed for emergency repairs and clean up after a tanker truck that overturned and spilled cooking oil late Monday morning.

The clean-up and emergency repaving will continue through the evening and drivers should avoid the area and take alternate routes, including I-78 west, said state transportation department officials.
