UWUA Local 409 started a GoFundMe page for a Jersey City family that includes one of their members lost everything in a fire on Saturday.
“Ramon Morales and his family are facing an unimaginable loss after a devastating fire ripped through their home overnight. In a matter of hours, they lost everything except the clothes on their backs,” the utility workers union wrote in the GoFundMe page description.
“Just as school was about to begin, this tragedy left the family without the basic things they need to get through each day and without the home they worked so hard for. UWUA Local 409 is starting this fundraiser to rally around Ramon and family during this heartbreaking time and to help them take the first steps forward after losing so much.”
