A man died at the hospital on Tuesday night shortly after he was assaulted at an apartment complex, officials said. Officers responded to a reported assault at the Wynona Lipman Gardens apartments on Cathedral Court in Newark about 11 p.m. and located a man with injuries on the scene, according to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office.
