NEWPORT NEWS, Va., (WAVY) — The City of Newport News now has a tool to help fight back against the rising crime that is deed theft.
The new tool, called VA Deed Alert, was developed by the Office of the Executive Secretary of the Supreme Court of Virginia. The free, statewide notification service is designed to help residents stay informed about activity in their local land records and take swift action when something doesn’t look right.
