PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — Children and children at heart are jumping for joy as High Street is under transformation.
“Starting with a double Ferris wheel down at the landing, we have carousels, face painting, all kinds of different things right here. A special STEM truck to be able to enjoy and learn at the same time is going to be here. So just absolute ton of family friendly things,” said J.D. Sumner, spokesperson for the city of Portsmouth.
Tall ships from around the world will set the scene for the nation’s birthday celebration, the 50th anniversary of Harborfest and Juneteenth.
