NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — A Hampton man was sentenced to 16 years in prison after sexually propositioning an undercover officer posing as a 14-year-old girl online in October 2025.
On Oct. 28, 2025, Christopher Charles Collins, 40, engaged with the undercover officer on the social media platform Chatiw, using the moniker “SinningPastor.” After moving their communications to Discord, court documents state Collins sexually propositioned the undercover officer and arranged to pick her up from a home in Newport News and take her to his residence.
Law enforcement then arrested Collins when he arrived at the home. According to court documents, Collins was in possession of two cell phones during his arrest. A search of the phones determined that he possessed over a thousand images of CSAM…
