Virginia woman speaks out after teenagers damage property in ‘prank’

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — A Newport News woman says she is being targeted after a group of teenagers has repeatedly come to her home in the dark, waking her up and damaging her property.

Kimberly Whitlow said a group of girls has come to her house twice in less than a week, ringing her doorbell, kicking the door and fleeing in a car. During Monday’s incident, which was captured on video, a girl kicked the front door, dislodging the door’s glass pane.

Whitlow said she does not know the girls or why they would do this.

“I feel like I’m being targeted,” Whitlow said, adding that she doesn’t feel like it’s just a prank.”When you playing around with something like that, you don’t just do my door — somebody else’s door too, and you ain’t jumpin’ in no car and out there at 5 in the morning either.”…
