ECU College of Engineering place 2nd in national boat racing competition

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — Students with East Carolina University’s College of Engineering placed second in a national boat racing competition.

For the national Promoting Electric Propulsion boat racing competition, students had to design and build a boat before they raced it in a two-mile course. The competition took place in Portsmouth, Virginia on April 14-16, and was part of the student’s senior capstone project. This was the first time ECU students competed in the race.
