A mother and her daughter are in critical condition after being pulled into the ocean by a sneaker wave in San Francisco, California.
On Thursday, June 18, the San Francisco Fire Department (SFFD) stated in a release on X that they responded to reports that “a mother and preteen child” had been “knocked into the ocean by a sneaker wave” at Baker Beach on South Bay.
Fire Capt. Jonathan Baxter told the San Francisco Chronicle that the pair were standing near the rocks at the northeast corner of the beach when a wave “came out of nowhere and grabbed them.”…
