SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A woman and her pre-teen daughter were rescued Thursday afternoon after being caught by a sneaker wave at Baker Beach in San Francisco. The San Francisco Fire Department said personnel responded at about 3:15 p.m. to the incident.
Upon arrival, SFFD launched a surf rescue deployment. The victims were walking along the shoreline at the beach when the wave took them. Other passersby on the beach assisted in getting them out of the water.
Firefighters located the woman and her child on the shoreline. Paramedics provided life-saving measures at the scene. Both victims were transported to the hospital in critical condition…
