(KRON) — One person is dead, and four are injured after a series of stabbings Monday night in Oakland, the Oakland Police Department said. The first stabbing reported was at Cesar Chavez Park on 38th Avenue and Foothill Boulevard.
Around 7:21 p.m., OPD was notified about shots fired at Cesar Chavez Park. But officers then arrived at the park and located a victim with multiple stab wounds who then died at the scene.
OPD then received a separate call about a stabbing about half a mile away on the 3800 block of San Leandro Street near the Fruitvale BART station. BART police informed OPD that another person was stabbed at the train station…
