A drag show tribute and celebration of life for the great Dolly Parton has already been scheduled for Friday, and San Francisco is likely to see more events, drag and otherwise, in the coming days.
The first of what will surely be many local tributes to Dolly Parton was announced Tuesday afternoon, hours after we learned that the great singer, actress, and icon had passed at age 80. This first event, which will be both a drag queen tribute and celebration of life for Parton, is happening at Beaux, with the showtime listed as 9:30 pm Friday, August 28.
The show will be led by Rupaul’s Drag Race runner-up Lady Camden, and will feature at least eight other performers, including Adriana Roy, Bionic Simon, Amoura Teese, Pony Bambino, and more…
