After announcing dozens of planned closures throughout the U.S. earlier this year, Grocery Outlet said this week it will open a new store in Daly City.
The Emeryville-based grocery chain will open a new location at a former Daly City Walgreens on Sept. 10, according to a news release shared with SFGATE. The forthcoming location will be 13,905 square feet, according to a LoopNet listing for the property at 6100 Mission St. The Walgreens closed its doors back in 2024 after two decades of operation, KRON-TV reported.
David and Carla Gates, who are set to independently own the Grocery Outlet site, plan to hand out “Bliss Buck” gift cards to the first 100 guests who arrive at 7 a.m., ahead of the 10 a.m. ribbon-cutting ceremony.
