Seriously Injured Hiker Airlifted From Mount Diablo

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA — A hiker with a serious leg injury was airlifted from Mount Diablo on Saturday, September 12, after becoming stranded on steep terrain near Fossil Ridge and the Summit Trail.

The rescue brought together a helicopter crew, a rescue line technician and other emergency responders to get the injured person off the mountain and into medical care.
