Woman charged in fatal S.F. Warfield shooting linked to notorious Rainbow Crew theft ring

San Francisco prosecutors on Wednesday accused a woman linked to a notorious retail theft ring with fatally shooting a security guard working outside the downtown Warfield theater early Saturday morning.

Shakia Vanderbilt, 32, was charged with homicide, discharging a firearm into an occupied building and possessing a firearm as a felon, District Attorney Brooke Jenkins told the Chronicle.

Police found Ulysses Tykee Davis, the 47-year-old security guard known to friends and family as “Bear,” with an apparent gunshot wound on the 900 block of Market Street around 1 a.m. on Saturday. Vanderbilt fled the scene and was arrested yesterday, police said…
