(KRON) — An Oakland man has been charged with murder in the shooting death of an Antioch woman earlier this year. Zahvon Hopson, 22, was arraigned Tuesday on a three-count complaint connected to the fatal shooting of Dimon Lasly Commodore, the Contra Costa County District Attorney said.
Charges filed against Hopson include murder, possession of a firearm by a felon with a prior conviction, and unlawful firearm activity. The murder charge carries an enhancement for personally and intentionally discharging a firearm causing bodily injury and death, the DA said.

The unlawful firearm activity count includes special allegations, citing prior offenses in Alameda and Contra Costa counties.
On the evening of Feb. 11, Antioch Police Department officers responded to a 911 call on the 2200 block of Sycamore Drive at around 7:17 p.m. They arrived to find the victim — Commodore — suffering from two gunshot wounds.
