Site plans presented for new $63 million Ocala middle school

Following an official groundbreaking earlier this year, a major site plan for the new 141,000-square-foot middle school was recently presented to county officials.

A major site plan for the new, $63 million campus, which is designated in county records as Middle School “DD,” was introduced to the Marion County Development Review Committee during its regular meeting on Monday, June 1.

According to the engineering and architectural schematics, the campus will be situated on a 30.09-acre property located at 685 Oak Road in Ocala. It sits just over a mile northwest of Lake Weir High School and just over a mile northeast of Emerald Shores Elementary School.
