The Brownwood Hotel & Spa will require yet another visit from a health inspector after a follow-up inspection revealed that multiple coolers are still out of order.
An inspector returned to the hotel at 3003 Brownwood Blvd. on Thursday, June 4, to check on violations discovered during a problematic initial inspection the previous week. Thursday’s visit resulted in an administrative status of “Follow-up Inspection Required.”
During the initial visit, a broken reach-in cooler at the breakfast station forced management to throw out yogurt, cut tomatoes, liquid eggs, sour cream and half-and-half that had reached unsafe temperatures. Fortunately, no additional food had to be discarded during Thursday’s follow-up visit, as the inspector noted the broken coolers were completely empty…
