A couple who once sued The Villages over sinkholes has a new problem with another home.

The home at 1500 Gadsden Place in the Village of Sunset Ridge at Sunset Pointe was the subject of a deed compliance hearing Tuesday morning before the Community Development District 5 Board of Supervisors at SeaBreeze Recreation Center.

A complaint was received July 11 by Community Standards regarding grass and weeds in the landscaping beds. The property was brought into compliance on Oct. 14.

Another complaint was received April 27 regarding overgrown grass and weeds in the shrubbery beds. This time, it was considered a “reoccurring” violation and the homeowner was issued a notice of public hearing.

The home was purchased in 2017 by Johnny and Robin Susko. They have been given seven days to bring the property into compliance. If they fail to do so, they could face daily fines up to $500, due to this being classified as a reoccurring violation…
