Corrections officials warn of scam targeting Florida families of incarcerated people

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — Central Florida Corrections officials are warning of a new scam that targets families of incarcerated people.

According to Osceola County Corrections, scam callers are monitoring daily arrest reports and contacting family members and friends of incarcerated people, telling them to pay over the phone for bonds, GPS ankle monitors and more.
