MARION COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – There’s been a little chatter on the latest “no name” storm in the Gulf, but all signs point to Invest 91L presenting no threat to North Central Florida.
The Tampa Bay Times published a story on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, and updated it the following day, reporting that the area of disturbed weather had “a low probability of becoming a tropical storm.”
More recently, Paul Dellegatto, meteorologist for Tamppa Bay’s Fox 13 News, posted on social media yesterday that newer models suggest Invest 91L may gather enough strength as from the warm Gulf waters develop into a tropical storm as it nears the Panhandle, but the main result for much of the Gulf Coast will be simply “enhanced rainfall.”
