A 42-year-old Marion County woman was arrested after authorities say she fabricated an emergency call, falsely reporting that her boyfriend held her captive and threatened her with a gun.
On Thursday, August 6, a Marion County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to a residence on SW 15th Place in Ocala regarding a domestic disturbance. A woman, identified as Dunnellon resident Tiffaney Sam Reffett, had called 911 and claimed that she had been held against her will for several days by her boyfriend, according to the arrest report.
Reffett reportedly told the 911 dispatcher that her boyfriend had approached her along State Road 40 in his vehicle. She alleged that her boyfriend had a gun at the time of the incident and told her, “Get in the (expletive) car right now or I’ll (expletive) shoot you.”…
