Severe weather tore through Ocala on Saturday morning, with large trees crashing into at least two homes, tearing down power lines, and causing significant structural damage.
Ocala Fire Rescue crews were dispatched at approximately 11:53 a.m. to the 3100 block of SE 8th Street following reports of a tree falling onto a residence and bringing down live power lines on Saturday, August 23.
Emergency responders arrived to find severe damage throughout the home. A massive tree smashed through the roof, snapping structural trusses and causing extensive destruction spanning from the kitchen and living room to a bedroom.
No injuries were reported in the collapse.
