Troopers arrest hit-and-run driver accused of killing pedestrian in Ocala

OCALA, Fla. (WCJB) – Florida Highway Patrol troopers say a man died Wednesday morning after being hit by a car while walking. The driver was arrested after initially leaving the scene.

FHP officials say the victim, a 29-year-old man from Ocala, was walking toward Northeast 110th Street on County Road 200A when Matthew Boardman, 29, of Marion County, veered off the roadway and hit him, killing him.
