Plans for a new 21,000-square-foot medical office building in southeast Ocala will be presented to city officials next week.
The first reading for an ordinance to rezone approximately 4.26 acres located at 325 SE 24th Street will take place during the Ocala City Council’s next regular meeting on Tuesday, September 15.
The ordinance seeks to rezone the property from an inactive, Office Planned Unit Development (PUD-RO) designation, to Planned Development (PD). The review follows a unanimous recommendation for approval from the city’s Planning and Zoning Commission.
The property is owned by New Ocala MOB, LLC, with local attorney Fred N. Roberts Jr. acting as the agent. Because the original PUD-RO zoning district, which was approved in 2005 and amended in 2006, is no longer active within Ocala’s Land Development Regulations, the property must be formally rezoned before any new construction or permitting can occur…
