Commissioners approve reduction for new Ocala community from 621 townhomes to 337 homes

A request to scale back the Cypress Pointe development in southwest Ocala from 621 townhomes to 337 single-family homes garnered unanimous approval from Marion County officials on Tuesday.

The request was presented to the Marion County Board of County Commissioners during its regular meeting on Tuesday, September 15.

The approved modification for the 103-acre property, which is located south and west of SW 95th Street Road in the Liberty Triangle area, replaces a 621-unit townhome and villa development with 337 single-family detached homes, marking a net reduction of 284 residential units.
