Just a few months after raising the walls on a new home, Habitat for Humanity of Marion County is inviting the community to celebrate the completion of its first-ever “Veteran Build” for a local family.
Habitat for Humanity of Marion County will host a formal House Blessing ceremony on Wednesday, Sept. 30, to welcome U.S. Army veteran Doug Haynes and his wife, Thela, into their new home in Ocklawaha.
The ceremony is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. at the newly completed residence, located at 5 Guava Lane Run in Ocklawaha.
Volunteers, donors, corporate sponsors, neighbors, and community members are invited to attend and celebrate the milestone alongside the family.
