Swerving SUV in Silver Springs leads to DUI, fentanyl, and felony firearm charges

A 57-year-old convicted felon was arrested in Marion County on DUI and drug charges after deputies allegedly found a rifle, fentanyl, and marijuana inside his vehicle during a traffic stop.

On Wednesday, September 30, Marion County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to reports of a white SUV swerving across the road and running into ditches in Silver Springs, according to the arrest report.

While driving northbound, a deputy spotted the SUV traveling southbound down the middle of North Highway 314A at approximately 20 miles per hour, and a traffic stop was conducted.
