A deceased owner’s home in The Villages has deteriorated to a neighborhood eyesore as the property reverts to bank ownership.
At a public hearing Friday at Savannah Center, the Community Development District 1 Board of Supervisors found the estate of Everett H. Belter in violation of the district’s deed compliance rules. The property at 2026 San Leonardo Way in the Village of Palo Alto was classified as a “re-occurring violation” after previously being cited for overgrown grass and weeds in late 2025.
In testimony at the public hearing, Community Standards staff noted that Belter is deceased and the home is reverting to the bank. Staff contacted 24 Hour Asset Management, the property management company, to inform them of the ongoing violations.
