A 67-year-old motorcyclist is facing felony charges after an alleged road rage incident in a roundabout in The Villages.
William Albert Fortier of Spring Hill was arrested at Panera Bread in Lake Sumter Landing on Thursday afternoon following an altercation with a driver.
The incident began at approximately 2:08 p.m. in the roundabout at the intersection of Buena Vista Boulevard and Old Mill Run. Fortier allegedly got into a verbal argument with a driver while navigating the traffic circle. According to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office, Fortier approached the victim’s vehicle, allegedly reached in through the driver’s side window, punched the victim’s phone off its windshield mount, and grabbed the driver’s right wrist…
