A Summerfield man who previously made headlines for a terrifying road rage incident was arrested this week after allegedly stalking a woman he did not know.
John Stewart Hopkins, 45, is facing a stalking charge following his arrest Monday in Lake County.
According to an arrest affidavit from the Eustis Police Department, the incident began at about 8:06 a.m. at an apartment complex where a woman was taking her children to daycare. She told police that an unknown man, later identified as Hopkins, approached her in the stairwell, made unsolicited comments about her race, and asked for her phone number. The woman refused and informed Hopkins she was in a relationship.
