Where is Beverly Hills, Florida and Why Was It Named as The “Worst” Place to Live?: This town of only around 8,400 residents is located in Citrus County, about 70 miles north of Tampa and near the Withlacoochee River.
In October of 2023, the website Wall Street 24/7 published a list of the “worst” cities to live in each state of the United States. Using data from the Census Bureau, the FBI, and the Centers For Disease Control, Wall Street 24/7 identified the cities it felt were the most undesirable in each state.
The site noted that many of the cities that made the list had poverty levels above state averages.
Beverly Hills’ poverty level (27%) is over twice the state average of 13%, and the median income is $37,728 – which is significantly less than the state average of $61,777.
