A drunk driving suspect and her male companion were arrested after a traffic stop in The Villages.
Heather Christina Clark, 52, of Lady Lake, was driving a tan Chevy pickup at about 11 p.m. Tuesday on Chula Vista Avenue in the Village of La Zamora when an officer noticed a suspicious white light emitting from the rear of the vehicle, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. During a traffic stop, it appeared the Virginia native had been drinking. She performed poorly in field sobriety exercises. She provided breath samples that registered .044 and .043 blood alcohol content.
Clark, who was arrested on a drunk driving charge in 2024 after leaving Brownwood, was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence and booked at the Lake County Jail. She was released after posting $2,000 bond.
